Why is Ashiatsu Massage so Important?

Why is Ashiatsu Massage so Important?

Many people are cutting unnecessary items out of their budgets lately in order to purchase gasoline and other basics that have skyrocketed in price. Removing random expenses will be vital to the success of any house hold budget. Items of luxury that may include that $5.00 Starbucks beverage or the $8.00 Teriyaki lunch could be replaced with less expensive options.

There are however, some things that I believe should not be cut from the budget. Things that may seem at first glance to be a luxury but on further review can be found to be imperative to your health. Health that you will need to continue to lead a strong and productive life. I am suggesting that you keep your health as the number one focus in your budget. That means designating money to excellent nutrition, supplementation, physical activities and alternative medicines. Alternative medicines naturally include Ashiatsu Massage, aromatherapy, acupressure and the like.

Let’s focus on Ashiatsu Massage for now. Why would a person need to spend any where from $60 to $120 each month for Ashiatsu Massage? That is quite a bit of money to set aside for something that doesn’t seem to be that beneficial. Let us look at some of the reasons that Ashiatsu Massage is an excellent investment into your health, today and into the future.

Your body and all its functions are regulated by a fantastically designed electrical system call the Central Nervous System. Without going into a deep conversation about the anatomy and function of the Central Nervous System, I would like to suggest that we think about as having two basic levels. The first level we will call the Fight or Flight system and the second we will call the Rest and Digest system. There some basic ideas about both of these systems that we need to understand. The Fight or Flight system comes in very handy when we need adrenaline for jumping out of the way of a moving bus, or helping get a child out of a burning building. That being said, our bodies are not designed to recognize the difference between seeing a bus coming at us or our angry boss coming at us waving a file. Both situations will cause our bodies to jump into Fight or Flight mode. When that happens our heart rate increases, breath rate increases, blood pressure goes up, muscle tense ready for action, digestion ceases or slows down, and our senses become more alert. We are ready to jump into action. Now, the Rest and Digest system comes in handy when we need to fall asleep, heal up after an injury, or digest that fantastic steak dinner. When we flop down on the cough after a big dinner our bodies slip into the Rest and Digest mode. When that happens our heart rate decreases, breath rate decreases, blood pressure goes down, muscles relax and release tension, digestion increases and our senses dull as we slip into semi-awareness. We are ready to roll over and fall asleep.

At this point we need to understand that our bodies will only heal when we are functioning in the Rest and Digest system. After that we can make some basic assumptions about our needs for one system or the other. Basically the average adult in America gets up in the morning and rushes off to work. (being late causes our heart rate to increase, blood pressure to increase pushing us into the Fight or Flight system) On the way to work the average American can expect traffic delays, road construction, road rage and other various encounters. (being stuck in traffic causes our heart rate to increase, blood pressure to increase pushing us in to the Fight or Flight system) At work the average American can expect to be “under the gun”. Things should have be done “yesterday”. Personnel problems are raging out of control. Deliveries are late or early. Contracts are under negotiations that are stalling. Customer service is a nightmare and the corporate office is “breathing down everyone’s neck”! (stress related to work causes our heart rate to increase, blood pressure to increase pushing us into the Fight or Flight system) Heading home after work the average American can expect traffic delays, road construction, road rage and other various encounters. (need I say again what happens when we are stuck in traffic?) At home the average American can expect children that need attention, are arguing and need to be fed. Spouses that have “had it up to here” with something or have expectations that are difficult to fulfill. General arguments about things like money and how to raise the kids or what we should eat for dinner. (relationship stress causes our heart rates to increase, blood pressure to increase pushing us into the Fight or Flight system) When slipping off to bed, the average American can expect that a continuous list of “shoulda-woulda-couldas” will run through our minds until such time as we fitfully fall asleep using some type of sleep-aide. (minds that do not turn off at night cause our heart rates to increase, blood pressure to increase pushing us into the Fight or Flight system, yes, even when we sleep!) I would like to think that this cycle stops somewhere, but for the average American, this cycle starts again the very next day. For most people there are very few times in our days that we can move into the Rest and Digest system. Stress causes us to live in a constant state of Fight or Flight. This in turn causes our bodies to wear out. Heart disease, liver dysfunction, digestion dysfunction, gall bladder disease, emotional problems and many many more health related issues all have a basis in high stress.

This is where Ashiatsu Massage comes in. Ashiatsu Massage can be used to reduce stress and even prevent stress related medical issues simply by helping your body to move into the Rest and Digest mode. Ashiatsu Massage helps the body recover from the stresses of strenuous work or exercise and facilitates the rebuilding phase of conditioning. Ashiatsu Massage improves blood and lymph circulation, muscle relaxation and even overall relaxation. Ashiatsu Massage assists in the removal of waste products and better cell nutrition and normalization. Ashiatsu Massage reduces chronically tight muscles, increases flexibility and increases elasticity of tissues, predisposing less potential for future injury. Regular Ashiatsu Massage helps reduce or prevent the accumulation of stresses, a key factor in the onset of repetitive stress and helps regain strength and endurance post-injury. Ashiatsu Massage creates an environment of relaxation that facilitates healing in every system of the body.

Used as a preventative, one time per month, Ashiatsu Massage can reduce your overall medical bills. You will feel better, more vital and may even feel happier with time. Ashiatsu Massage can make an amazing difference in your life and in the amount of stress that you carry on a daily basis. You make the choice. Is your health important enough to you that you will devote a portion of your precious income each month to maintaining it? Or will you continue to carry your stresses in your body and wait until it manifests as heart or liver disease? Prevention is a 100% cure. Ashiatsu Massage is important! Have you ever tried Volcanic Stone Therapy?

Have you ever tried Volcanic Stone Therapy?

Background on Volcanic Stone Therapy

This ancient healing treatment of warm volcanic stones helps balance and ground your senses. The stones are used as an extension of the therapist’s hands to achieve complete healing and relaxation.

A multitude of ancient cultures have applied the healing power of these stones for medicinal and spiritual purposes. The volcanic stones are to be warmed smoothly with exquisite oils and then are placed on the key points on the body. This way the heat penetrates to relax muscular tension, that will soothen the body and the soul.

This stone therapy has been based on the oriental disciplines, according to which there are seven chakras located along the central channel of the body: centers of the vital energy that are related to several organs. From these chakra points, the energy is distributed to the whole organism through the numerous energy channels that cross the body and that are connected to those organs.

The concentration on the chakras helps, therefore, to regulate the energy flow through the body (too much energy in circle or too little can create disorders). Thence, with this aim, during the therapy, the volcanic stones are disposed on the chakras and, next, become the energetic opening and closing and the connection, also energetics, of the superior and inferior members.

These black volcanic stones have a range of various sizes as illustrated above. They should adapt to the different areas of the body. They have been subjected to a process that has left them perfectly polished and has confered them the opportune physiognomy: the round ones are suitable for the hands and the arms; those lengthened, for the area of the neck; and the finest, for the back and the scapulas.

The deepest and durable benefit is obtained thanks to the colour of the dark stones of volcanic origin. These are then heated and pressed onto the skin in the aching areas. Whosoever undergoes this massage will notice a sensation of a “pleasant pain.” The heat, slowly released by the stones, relaxes the muscles.

The fundamental element of geothermal therapy is it the application of hot and also cold stones, acting in two levels:

  • In an static way, performing therapeutic pressures in concrete points
  • In a dynamic way carrying out very defined massage maneuvers
  • The hot stones (50ºC) increase the blood circulation and the cellular metabolism, while the cold ones (8ºC) originate vasoconstricción and histamina liberation that acts against the pain and the inflammatory processes.”

In order to facilitate the physic, psychic and emotional balance, the booths are conditioned, for the application of the complementary techniques to the geothermal therapy:

  • The aromatherapy that stimulates and balances the cortical and cerebral areas, ,through the smell
  • The cromotherapy, with the energy vibrations given to the organism by each color.
  • The appropriate musicotherapy for each treatment helping to get the harmonic relaxation, acting on those cerebral areas influenced by auditory stimulus.

Important to know is that after the massage the person ought to drink some water to restore the liquids and the mineral salts which were lost with the perspiration during the therapy. The massage usually ought to lasts only about one hour. The person treated may also remain laid down on the bed or stretcher for half hour more in order to complete the relaxation.

This geothermal therapy also has connections with acupuncture. It also shares with the Reiki the employment of the chakras as a way to reestablish the energy balance. Massages using stones are one of the last tendencies in the relax and the beauty world. The use of volcanic stones is one of the most suitable remedies to help to relax and to sleep deeply. It is extraordinarily timely that in this age of high technology and urban living, volcanic stone massage has become one of the most popular treatments in spas and private massage practices today.
